Recently, 600 tons of potatoes were harvested in an export-oriented potato plantation in Qinzhou, Guangxi Region. This plantation is locally first vegetable supply base that’s registered with Qinzhou Customs House (subordinate to Nanning Customs District) and this batch of potatoes, worth 1.8 million yuan, will soon be exported abroad.
In support of farm-produce exports, Qinzhou Customs House actively provides local producers with guidance and services in the light of foreign regulatory requirements, involving produce adjustments and quarantine process; also helps the producers in production management system, process control, pest control, farm chemical application, anti-epidemic measures, and product quality/safety management such as pesticide-residue control. Additionally, by using the “Internet+Customs” platform and enterprise management system, the Customs expedites the approvals of export declarations and registrations, reducing the processing time to within 2 workdays.
In the next step, Qinzhou Customs House will register more vegetable plantations for export access and help build “Qinzhou Export Farm-Produce Demonstration Base” to drive local economic growth.
