Nanjing Customs Seizes Falsely-Declared Chemical Exports

In Nanjing Customs District, more than 20 tons of chemical exports were recently detained for false declaration to Lianyungang Customs House.
At Lianyungang Customs, the exports were declared as “polyvinyl alcohol”. Through field inspection, however, customs officers found the goods package printed with “titanium white powder” and the goods accompanied by some undeclared dyestuffs (i.e. direct red brown and acid scarlet) in the container, suggesting the false declaration and evasion of export license.
By now, those chemical exports have been under further investigation.
