Customs inspection of export sea mustard
In Dalian Customs District, customs officers with Qixianling Customs House made product inspection in a local seafood company and cleared 2.3 tons of sea mustard to export by sea from the company on December 7.
Dalian, a major producing region of sea mustard in China, enjoys over 90% of national total yield every year, with over half selling overseas.
Since this year, Qixianling Customs House has been in a communication mechanism with enterprises, both online providing policy consulting service via WeChat APP and offline holding policy seminars to solve business problems; it has simplified registration formalities for export food manufacturers, with focus on online paperless clearance and “cloud issuance” of Certificate of Origin. In daily control, the Customs House monitors sea-mustard export procedures and supervises sea-mustard farms and processing plants in terms of product control and traceability, ensuring the compliance with phytosanitary requirements. Besides, the Customs House combines many convenient measures such as advance declaration, reserved inspection and risk monitoring to clear the export without delay.
