On August 6th, Vice Minister Wang Lingjun delivered a video speech at the opening ceremony of China-Turkey Culture and Business Development Forum on the 50th Anniversary of China-Turkey Diplomatic Relations. In his remarks, Vice Minister Wang fully affirmed the pragmatic outcomes of cooperation on customs inspection and quarantine affairs between the two countries, and expressed the willingness of China Customs to work with Turkish partners to implement the consensus reached by their presidents. He also made three proposals for future cooperation: first, both sides need to further synergize development strategies to build a community of shared future for mankind; second, both sides need to enhance international cooperation on the “Smart Customs, Smart Borders and Smart Connectivity Initiative (3S Initiative), and to promote coordinated border management; third, both sides need to deepen interactions and exchanges among customs and enterprises to boost high-quality trade development. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey and Head of Planning and Budget Committee of Grand National Assembly of Turkey attended the ceremony.
