On March 29, under the control of Yantai Customs (subordinate to Qingdao Customs District), a giant aquaculture ship called “HAVFARM 1”, built by Yantai CIMC Raffles Offshore Ltd., was exported from Yantai to Norway.
This aquaculture ship made for Norway is 385 meters long, 59 meters wide, 65 meters tall and has 6 deep-water net cages, totaling 400,000 cubic meters of aquaculture volume, able to breed 10,000 tons of salmon with an automatic aquaculture system.
To facilitate the clearance of the ship, Yantai Customs keeps liaison with the company to understand its actual production, gives policy interpretation and helps it with processing trade issues. Through online control, the Customs provides the company with pre-classification of import materials and tailor-made measures such as advance declaration and field inspection to ensure fast clearance without delay.
Regarding the company’s resumption of production during the epidemic period, Yantai Customs online handled many pieces of alterations concerning newly needed materials for the company and timely cleared such imports to ensure the ship completion and delivery on schedule.
