In China (Hangzhou) Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Area (Xiasha Park), Hangzhou Customs cleared 6.6 million consignments of cross-border retail imports, with cargo value at 1.3 billion yuan, from November 1 to 3.
This year’s “Double 11” e-commerce promotion is carried out during November 1-3 and on November 11 respectively, signaling two-round peaks of customs control thereon. By the end of November 4, the Xiasha Park has stocked 46 million pieces of import commodities, an increase of 11% year-on-year, with the scope more extensive than past years, including the youth-favored affordable luxury or fashion products and new popular products like Japanese sake, latex pillows and cosmetic instruments.
To ensure 24-hour clearance of e-commerce imports, Hangzhou Customs, by communicating in advance with major e-commerce platforms, mastered the import plans and cargo volumes and made special regulatory/service programs; helped businesses with network upgrade, stock taking, and data backup; besides entry inspection and quarantine, it also conducted online inspections on warehouses, commodities in stock, and relevant e-commerce platforms with focus on access registration and commodity quality, so as to expedite the exit from the Pilot Area.
