On January 1, 2021, a Panamanian cargo ship carried over 30,000 tons of cement clinkers into the seaport of Binzhou under the control of Jinan Customs District, marking the first foreign ship visiting Binzhou since its opening to the outside world.
To ensure the entry of the Panamanian ship, Binzhou Customs House made detailed plans in advance involving ship quarantine, health inspection, crew transfer, logistical support, and transmission of samples, along with desktop rehearsals in response to possible emergencies. Finally, by virtue of well-defined responsibilities and orderly processes, customs officers completed inspection and quarantine aboard without delay.
