Customs inspection of pet food to export
Recently in Nanjing Customs District, subordinate Lianyungang Customs House summarized pet food enterprises’ problems in daily control and gave them the feedback.
To help the enterprises secure foreign-trade orders, Lianyungang Customs House keeps improving clearance control and services. According to Lianyungang KangKang Pet Food Company Ltd., the Company has optimized its product quality system and enterprise management under the guidance of the Customs, so as to not only retain old customers but also access new markets.
Lianyungang Customs assigned business coordinators in line with enterprise requirements. By virtue of information and technical advantages, the Customs helped enterprises solve external technical barriers to trade and thus expand exports. To ensure export food safety, the business coordinators from the Customs helped the manufacturers set up the HACCP system with critical control over raw materials, processing, product inspection and product traceability. Besides, through one-stop declaration, remote inspection and reserved certification on the “Single Window” platform, the Customs enhanced clearance efficiency with shorter time.
According to statistics, during January-November, Lianyungang exported over 1,100 tons of pet food, worth over 6.5 million US dollars.
